About Us

Upward Transitions is a 501c3 nonprofit organization which has been serving the metropolitan area for 100 years. In fiscal year 2024, we provided services to 4,025 individuals through case managed assistance obtaining birth certificates and ID for those experiencing homelessness; rent and utility assistance to keep families and seniors in their homes; emergency travel assistance to stranded travelers, and victims of domestic violence and human trafficking to get them to a safe place.

Our Community Outreach program serves those who are experiencing homelessness or facing eviction by providing case management and stabilizing resources to help meet basic needs. Our volunteer program manages two Travelers Aid information booths at Will Rogers World Airport 365 days a year by an all volunteer staff. Trained volunteers provide information on airport services and the Oklahoma City metro area, assist stranded travelers and military personnel, and provide referral resources to individuals with social service needs.
